This is a must stop if you are anywhere close to the area. The atmosphere takes you back with its black and white photos and fried pies. They typically have a daily special, like Smoked Brisket or Pulled Pork but we sure love the Green Chile Cheese Burger with Bacon. They have very good Green Chile... it's got a great bite of heat that keeps you coming back for more. My favorite fried pie is the pecan, and their peanut butter cookies are the BEST I've ever had!!! Such a friendly waitstaff & the best homemade chips & salsa this side of Santa Fe!!

* * * Not only part restaurant, part chuck wagon, part museum, but also fully entertaining, fully enjoyable, and fully enchanting. We use HWY 39 every time we find ourselves cutting through NM for any reason... three trips so far. Probably one more or two more stops coming up at the end of this month. We love Mosquero... * * * Until that time. . .

What a wonderful little restaurant in a small and beautiful New Mexico town. Im always in favor of a very open and spacious seating environment, and this place is perfect in that measure. The green Chile cheeseburgers we ate were excellent. I believe the proprietor seated us and took our order, when we ordered smothered burriros she apologized and said she was out of red chile. No worries, we'll be back, so stock up on red!
